Sarah Verney was driving near Kokadjo, Maine when she came across two big cats squaring off in the road. Approaching carefully, she slowed her car down so that she could take a video of what she perceived as a once in a lifetime experience.
What she found were the two cats having a standoff, likely over territory or a mate, and were “caterwauling” back and forth to determine dominance. It’s truly amazing to see nature creating order in this way and the way these lynxes communicate is something you’ll have to hear to believe.
